M.E.E.K stands for Mind-Engineered Elektronik Komputer
It appears to be benevolent but people that run into it are not sure of it's ulterior motives.

There is an outbreak of activity in which humans are reduced to instinctual, bestial, survival warriors. Their higher consciousness has basically been shutdown. Some blame H.A.A.R.P. Some blame the vaccines. Some blame the new microchips that have begun to be implanted into humans after the latest administration cracked down on the last of the civilians freedoms. Some are even blaming M.E.E.K for everything.

A small army of humans who have not been infected yet gather together to figure out what is going on and figure out how to stop the spreading disease.
